Repair Work
Little Relics is proud to be one of the only jewelry repair shops in the Sacramento area to offer onsite repair work rather than shipping it out to a third-party bench jeweler to perform the repair. Our benches, where the magic happens, are visible from the floor of our shop!
Do you repair [_____]?
We can repair most of your jewelry needs— or find some way to accommodate them. Reach out to us with specific questions or schedule an appointment!
We do not work on watches as we aren’t insured to work on them nor do we have the specific tools required.
Where can I get a quote for my repair?
In order to provide quotes for repair work, we generally need to see the piece in order to properly assess the work required for your jewelry. Bring your jewelry in for a proper quote! If we don’t have a bench jeweler in the shop at the time, you can drop your pieces off to be stored in our safe Bertha for the next time our bench jewelers come in to quote out your repair needs. We will give you a phone call with a quote which you can approve and place into our queue or reject and pick up at your convenience.
You can always call us during business hours for an estimate on a repair job but there is no guarantee on its accuracy for your jewelry without proper assessment.
How long will the repair take?
The industry standard is approx. 3-4 weeks depending on the type of repair. Our bench jewelers will provide a more accurate timeframe when you drop your pieces off as our standard varies on each bench jeweler’s queue of work.
Generally, repairs such as ring resizing, stone replacements, chain repairs, etc. may take longer than a restring or an epoxy job.
Custom Work/Engagement rings
We love helping you create custom jewelry! Little Relics can help you out through every step of the way! From brainstorming and visualizing your ideas, procuring stones for you to pick from, and providing mockups and samples to aid your visions for custom fine jewelry.
How do you begin the process for custom work?
Research different designs that attract you! Our bench jewelers recommend create a Pinterest board with different ideas you have for the designs you're interested in.
Little Relics has a variety of styles available for sale and can be a great reference for custom jewelry. If you see something in our shop that you want to customize, reach out to us!
Check out our gold vendor, Stuller, to find different types of bands, stone settings, chains, etc. that we could procure for you.
Make an appointment with us or reach out to us via email with your ideas.
What’s Little Relic’s relationship with Stuller?
In order to keep our custom fine jewelry affordable, we work with another family-owned fine jewelry manufacturer to keep our labor costs down. We can always fabricate a gold band from scratch for you- but it will be much more affordable to order the foundations of your vision and expand from there!
Can I bring in loose stones to set in custom work?
Yes! We love working with your stones and offering them new life in a new piece of jewelry.
How much is custom work?
There are a few different factors that contribute to the cost and varies from project to project. Labor costs, the price of the metal, and stones will contribute to the price. Schedule an appointment to talk with our bench jewelers or reach out via email!
Appointments vs Walkins?
At Little Relics, we understand that your time is valuable (as is ours!) To ensure you receive personalized attention, we offer appointment scheduling for our jewelry repair and custom jewelry services. Booking an appointment allows us to dedicate the time and care your pieces deserve.
Appointments/repair & custom consultations are always free of charge.
Walkins are common and welcomed! It may take us a second to meet with you as our bench jewelers may be in the middle of a project- our team will prioritize helping you out!
If you have a project that requires an appointment and our schedule doesn’t align with yours, get in contact with us via email and we will work something out between our schedules!
Does little relics have Sales?
We frequently have sales on our in-house designs- especially when the holidays begin to creep up! Check us out on our social media to stay tuned for the different sales we plan to have!
